posted Apr 20, 2015, 3:35 AM by Unknown user

¡Suerte!

The first laboratory practice in the Biology lab its been about the disection of a heart and lungs of a lamb. In this practice we have seen the auricles and ventricles of a heart, the main vessels such as the aorta artery and the cava vein. It was interesting to observe also the atrioventricular valves. About the lungs, we observed the trachea, bronchi, and pulmonar tissue. This practice included Units 4 and 5 of our text book. We had even the chance to touch all the organs!

Physics and chemistry: first term practical exercise

posted Dec 10, 2014, 6:10 AM by Gonzalo Torroba Aguillo

This first term practical exercise was about separation techniques for mixtures.

As you know, to separate heterogeneous mixtures we can use filtration and decantation and to separate homogeneous mixtures distillation and crystallization can be used.

All the pupils had to make a video by groups explaining how these separation techniques work. Here we can watch one of these videos.

This Unit is very important for our diet and health. We will study the types of foods and energetic requierements of our bodies. We will make a work about diets and will be part of the final note. Even you will never study biology again, is an important lesson for anyone. We all eat on daily basis so we all must know few concepts about this. Please study the Unit hardly as this is one of the easiest units of this course. Good chance to reach a good mark!

This video can be very useful:

Here you can find also the power point of the Unit.

Remember that the pw-pt contains some extra information added in class.
